Essex volleyball stayed competitive in the opening set on Senior Night, but fell to Griswold, Tuesday, Sept. 24.

The Tigers earned the Corner Conference sweep 25-20, 25-10 and 25-14.

Elise Dailey led Essex with six kills and six digs. Her six kills came against two errors on 14 swings for a .286 hitting efficiency.

Brianne Johnson added four kills while Riley Jensen and Sami York had three each.

Camryn Chambers distributed seven assists and four digs and Helen Nicholas returned to the lineup and contributed six assists and four digs.

Essex dropped to 1-14 overall and 0-4 in the Corner Conference ahead of next week’s conference tournament.

Griswold improved to 9-11 overall and 2-2 in the conference with the win.
