Elise Dailey wins tip

GRISWOLD – The Essex Trojanettes played right with Griswold for the first three quarters, but scored just two points in the final eight minutes in a 44-30 Tiger victory.

Essex trailed just 24-22 at halftime and 32-28 going into the final period in their sixth consecutive loss.

Helen Nicholas led the Trojanettes with 10 points. Elise Dailey added eight points and 12 rebounds as Essex finished Corner Conference play at 4-10.

The Trojanettes fell to 4-13 overall.

The win was Griswold’s fourth straight to improve its record to 14-6 overall and 11-2 in the conference.
