Essex junior Elise Dailey attacks Sidney's block, Monday, Sept. 30.

The Essex Trojanettes traveled to Missouri, Monday, Oct. 7 and came home with their second win of the season, a 2-1 victory over West Nodaway.

Essex dropped the first set 25-15, but came back to easily win the next two 25-16 and 25-16 to earn the win.

Elise Dailey and Sami York finished with five kills each to lead the Trojanettes. Riley Jensen added three. Camryn Chambers set up the offense nicely with seven assists.

Helen Nicholas added three assists and led the Trojanettes with 10 digs.

Essex’s serve caused the Rockets all kinds of problems as the Trojanettes finished with 17 aces, led by Johnson and Chambers with five each.

The win improved Essex’s record to 2-16. They come home for the final time this season, Thursday, Oct. 10 against Woodbine.
