A Shenandoah Mustang and two Fremont-Mills Knights received all-state football honors from the Iowa Print Sportswriters Association.
The IPWSA released their all-state teams for all six classes, Tuesday, Nov. 26. A first, second and third team were honored in each class.
Shenandoah senior Anthony Stogdill was a third-team kick returner in Class 2A.
Fremont-Mills junior Seth Malcom was named a first-team linebacker in Class 8-Player while teammate Cooper Langfelt, also a junior, was named to the third-team offensive line.
Stogdill returned three kicks for touchdowns this season, tied for second most in the state, all classes. He ran for 446 yards on 14 returns, a 31.9 yards per return average.
Malcom led the Fremont-Mills defense with 70.5 tackles and 16 tackles for loss. He also finished the season with 3.5 sacks and three interceptions, including one he returned for a touchdown.
Langfelt anchored the offensive line for the Knights that led the way for Knight offensive backs Malcom, Colton Hauschild and James Switzer. The Knights rushed for 2,666 yards in nine games in advancing to the state quarterfinals.
