Shenandoah graduate and Iowa Central freshman Kealey Anderson was named the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) Division II Freshman of the Year, Thursday, Nov. 7.

Anderson was also named first team all-region and all-conference.

She finished the season with 556 kills, the sixth best total in in school history for a single season. Her 1,418 attacks were seventh-most. She ranked fourth in the nation in kills, as of the time of the conference’s release.

Teammate Amaya Finley set the school record for career kills and was named conference Player of the Year. Tritons head coach Sarah Horn was named the conference’s Coach of the Year.

Iowa Central finished the season 33-6 overall and 8-1 in the ICCAC to win the conference title. The Tritons lost to Kirkwood, Sunday, Nov. 3 in the NJCAA North Central A District Championship, ending their season.
