Meanwhile, Kyle Cerven held down the Tiger bats. He went the distance on the mound, throwing just 83 pitches in 6.1 innings. He gave up six hits, three walks and two unearned runs. He struck out three.

Carter Bruce earned the complete game win for Red Oak. The senior gave up five hits, one walk and an unearned run while striking out 11.

The Tigers improved to 3-4 with the win. They didn’t win a single conference game last year, but already have two in four tries this season.
