COUNCIL BLUFFS – Brenden Dingus scored 25 points and made the game winning shot and free throw with less than five seconds left to give Heartland Christian a 47-45 win over Essex/South Page, Saturday, Dec. 15.

The Trojans are now 0-7 to start the season and 0-5 in the Corner Conference after dropping the tightly-contested conference contest.

Colton Thornburg led the Trojans with 18 points. Daniel Ohnmacht added eight points for Essex/South Page, Trent Radley scored seven and Cooper Stanley six.

Heartland Christian improved to 3-4 overall and 1-4 in the conference.
