The Fremont-Mills Knights had three athletes score in double figures and another nearly claim a double-double in a 69-17 win over Essex, Friday, Dec. 6.
Fremont-Mills led 17-2 after the first quarter and 40-5 at halftime in rolling their way to a 2-0 start to the season.
Eli Owen led the Knights with 16 points. Jake Malcom and Cooper Langfelt added 13 points each while Langfelt secured 13 rebounds.
Taylor Reed scored nine points and pulled down 11 rebounds to help lead the Knights to a win in their first Corner Conference game of the season.
Fremont-Mills returns home for a non-conference date with Logan-Magnolia, Monday, Dec. 9.
Wesley Johnson led Essex with seven points as the Trojans fell to 0-2 overall and 0-1 in the conference. Essex visits Clarinda Academy, Tuesday, Dec. 10 in its next contest.
