Noah Jorgenson scored 27 points and Garett Phillips added 19 as the Sidney Cowboys easily defeated Clarinda Academy 74-37, Friday, Feb. 7.
Jorgenson’s 27 points came without a 3-point make and only three made free throws and Phillips connected on three of his four 3-point attempts to help reach his total.
After an 18-9 opening period, the Cowboy offense put together a 32-point second quarter to take control of the game.
Kyle Beam added seven points for Sidney. Taylor McFail and Leighton Whipple scored six points each.
Jorgenson added 10 rebounds to his game-high scoring effort and also contributed four steals.
Connery Humphries snagged six rebounds while Beam led the team with five assists.
The win was the third in a row for the Cowboys in improving to 11-9 overall and 7-4 in the Corner Conference.
The Eagles fell to 3-14 overall and 3-7 in the conference.
