The Shenandoah Mustangs wrapped up a winless season in Hawkeye 10 Conference play with a 77-43 loss at Kuemper Catholic, Friday, Feb. 7.

Blake Herold put together an impressive double-double with 14 points and 14 rebounds to lead the Mustangs in both categories.

Braden Knight added 12 points with seven rebounds as the Mustangs played without leading scorer Kyle Cerven.

Brody Owen stepped into the starting lineup and scored six points for Shenandoah.

Kuemper’s lead was 17-11 after the first quarter. The Knights put the game away in the second quarter, leading 42-17 at the half. The Knights continued their strong offensive play in the third quarter, scoring a combined 48 points over the middle two periods.

Kuemper Catholic improved to 5-13 overall and 4-6 in the conference. Kyle Berg led the Knights with 16 points.

The Mustangs fell to 3-16 overall and 0-10 in the conference.
