GRISWOLD – The Griswold Tigers didn’t take long to make sure Essex/South Page wasn’t going to beat them again, Friday, Feb. 1, in a 49-34 Tiger victory.

Essex/South Page’s only win of the season was at home against Griswold right before Christmas, but this time around Griswold’s Evan Kelly made three 3-point baskets in the opening quarter as Griswold jumped out to a 20-6 lead after one.

The Tigers led 35-12 at halftime and 43-17 after three quarters before the Trojans doubled their offensive output in the final period.

Trent Radley’s eight points led Essex/South Page. Tucker Hadden added seven and Quentin Thornburg scored six as the Trojans fell to 1-16 overall and finished Corner Conference play with a 1-13 mark.

Kelly scored 15 points to lead the Tigers. Sage Archibald added 12 to help Griswold improve its record to 3-15 overall, 3-10 in the conference.
