Courtney Goodman scored 17 points and added six rebounds and four steals as Fremont-Mills won its season opener 58-41 at Heartland Christian, Monday, Dec. 2.

The Knights led 11-8 after one quarter and extended the advantage to 25-17 at half. They gradually pulled away in the second half.

Kaelynn Driskell added 13 points and seven rebounds while Kaylee Wright scored eight points and collected 10 rebounds for the Knights in their season opener.

Teagan Ewalt added six points in her first career game and Kelly Kesterson pulled down six rebounds for Fremont-Mills.

Fremont-Mills will open its home and Corner Conference schedules Friday against Essex.

Bella Dingus led Heartland Christian with 21 points in the season opener for the Eagles.
