The Fremont-Mills Knights moved up to number 8 in the latest Football RPI Rankings, released, Monday, Oct. 14 by the Iowa High School Athletic Association.
Fremont-Mills needs to win just one of its final two games to clinch a spot in the postseason as the Class 8-Man District 7 champion. Playing home or away games in the playoffs is also determined by the RPI rankings.
Fremont-Mills’ RPI number is .6186.
Also in the district, East Mills comes in at number 15, right on the edge of playoff qualification. The Wolverines don’t have any additional games scheduled this season.
Stanton/Essex is 38th in the Class 8-Man Football RPI Rankings at .4647 and Sidney is 46th at .4106. Bedford is 33rd and Griswold 60th out of 62 Class 8-Man schools.
Shenandoah dropped to 39th in the Class 2A Football RPI Rankings this week. The Mustangs are at .4277, currently fourth in the district.
The two unbeaten teams in Class 2A District 9, OABCIG and Greene County are 4th and 6th. Kuemper Catholic is 33rd, Atlantic 42nd and Red Oak 52nd out of 54 schools.
Updated RPI standings will be released again, Monday, Oct. 21 before the final version comes out with the official playoff pairings, Saturday, Oct. 26.
