AVOCA – AHSTW had three score in double figures in a 77-26 win over Essex, Saturday, Jan. 5.

The AHSTW win was the 350th in the career of head coach Steve Sauvain, who used to coach at both Shenandoah and Nishnabotna.

Claire Denning scored 22 points and Claire Harris added 21 as the Lady Vikes overwhelmed the Trojanettes to win their seventh consecutive game.

Kailey Jones added 14 points as AHSTW improved to 8-3 on the season.

The Trojanettes had no answer for AHSTW’s offensive attack, trailing 22-5 after one quarter and 45-11 at halftime. Continuous clock rules started very early in the second half and the Lady Vikes still scored 21 third quarter points.

Jori Mosley led Essex with seven points. Sami York and Elise Dailey added six each as Essex fell to 3-7 on the season.
