Seth Malcom rushed for more than 450 yards in leading Fremont-Mills into the driver’s seat of Class 8-Man District 7.

Shenandoah lost in blowout fashion to the Class 2A District 9 co-leader while Stanton/Essex rallied in the second half to beat Sidney.

Recaps of those three games, the district scoreboard and the current district standings are below.

Cooper Dejean passed for 261 yards and seven touchdowns and ran for another 136 yards and a score in a blowout win for the Falcons.

The Falcons scored four first quarter touchdowns and added three more in the second to lead 47-7 at halftime.

Jake Nieman caught four passes for 135 yards and four scores for the Falcons.

Morgan Cotten led the Mustangs with 43 yards rushing. Kyle Cerven added 39 to go with 48 yards passing.

Conner Birt scored the only Mustang touchdown on a two-yard run in the second quarter.

Shenandoah dropped to 2-5 overall and 1-2 in Class 2A District 9 while the Falcons improved to 7-0 and 3-0.

Stanton/Essex 42 Sidney 28

Stanton/Essex scored four unanswered touchdowns in the second half to rally for a win over Sidney.

The Vikings took the lead just past the halfway point of the final period

Keygan Day threw for 158 yards and three touchdowns and ran for another 131 and a score as the Vikings improved to 3-4 overall and 2-2 in Class 8-Man District 7.

Caden Henderson caught two passes for 62 yards and a score for the Vikings. Colton Thornburg rushed for 85 yards and two scores.

Tyler Hensley rushed for 97 yards to lead the Cowboys. Leighton Whipple added 43 yards rushing and a score. He also caught a touchdown pass.

Matthew Benedict passed for 86 yards for the Cowboys.

Sidney fell to 2-5 overall and 1-3 in the district.

Fremont-Mills 58 East Mills 21

Seth Malcom rushed for 458 yards and eight touchdowns and the Knights outscored East Mills 34-0 in the second half to take control of Class 8-Man District 7.

The lead was just 24-21 at halftime, but Malcom led the Knights to the dominant second half as they improved to 4-1 overall and 3-0 in the district.

Colton Hauschild led the defense with 10.5 total tackles. Daniel Vanatta picked off three passes defensively in holding down East Mills to its lowest offensive output of the season.

East Mills fell to 6-2 overall and 4-1 in the district. East Mills has no games scheduled for the rest of the regular season. The Wolverines will have to wait the final two weeks to see if their RPI number will be high enough to nab a wild card spot.
