ESSEX – East Mills outscored the Essex Trojanettes by 13 points in the final quarter, securing a 45-35 win, Tuesday, Jan. 29.

Essex held a 30-27 lead entering the final period, but the Trojanettes scored just five points in the final eight minutes while giving up 18.

Sami York led the Trojanettes with nine points and seven rebounds.

Helen Nicholas added eight points while Elise Dailey had seven with seven rebounds. Jessie Jones ended the game with six points.

The loss was the fourth in a row for the Trojanettes, dropping their overall record to 4-11, 4-8 in the Corner Conference.

Madison Williams had a career day for East Mills with 26 points, including four 3-point field goals. Alex Knop scored just five points, but pulled down 12 rebounds.

The Wolverines improved to 5-11 overall with the win, 4-8 in the conference.
