TABOR – A walk off single by Elizabeth Bartles lifted Fremont-Mills to a 7-6 win over East Mills, Monday, June 10.

The Wolverines made it difficult, but the Knights stayed unbeaten in the Corner Conference.

A four-run fifth inning gave East Mills a 6-3 lead, but the Knights drew within 6-5 in the home fifth, tied the game in the sixth and won it in the seventh.

Kendall Reed went the distance in the circle for Fremont-Mills. She gave up seven hits and six runs, three earned. She walked one and struck out 11.

Reed and Tori Kilpatrick had two hits each and they both scored two runs as the Knights improved to 5-5 overall and 3-0 in the Corner Conference.

Kilpatrick had the only extra-base hit of the game for the Knights.

Reed also drove in a run. Sophia Murphy and Malea Moore had both a run scored and an RBI. Murphy stole three bases.

East Mills fell to 0-7 with the loss with four of those defeats coming in conference play.
