Toby McCunn of Red Oak who was found guilty of first-degree murder last month, is scheduled for sentencing 9 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 17 at the courthouse in Clarinda. 

McCunn is facing a life sentence without the possibility of parole.

McCunn, 34, of Red Oak was charged with murder in the April 22 death of Josh Jordan, 33, in Shenandoah.

McCunn had plead not guilty as his defense team was claiming he was acting in self-defense. McCunn did not testify during the trial.
