Toby McCunn, of Red Oak, who was charged with first degree murder of Josh Jordan April 22, has a new trial date of August 5 at the Page County Courthouse in Clarinda.

The original trial date was June 25.

Law enforcement was notified early that day of a shooting at 901 Manti Street in Shenandoah. McCunn was located later that day in a residence.

According to the Iowa Department of Criminal Investigations, Toby McCunn, 34, was taken into custody at about 2 p.m. in a Shenandoah house. The residence is near Priest Park. Law enforcement blocked off a section of Elm Street south of West Thomas Avenue during the confrontation with McCunn. He was arrested without incident.

He is being held in Page County Jail with a $1,000,000 cash only bond.
