Little Runner’s Camp

Shenandoah sophomore Keelee Razee helps one of the 36 athletes in the Little Runner’s Camp that was hosted by the Shenandoah girls cross country team.

The camp was Aug. 14-16 for girls and boys entering 1st through 6th grades. The camp included activities like an obstacle course, hula hoop tag, a color run, water activities, and relay races.

Pictured is the oversized clothes relay race, which required the athletes to run from their team line to their coach, who was one of the cross country girls. Each coach had a pile of oversized clothes and accessories that the athlete had to put on. Then, in their new attire, the athlete had to run back to their team, and then back to their coach where they took off all of the extra clothing before running back and tagging the next member of the team, who would do the same thing.

This was the fourth year for the Little Runner’s Camp. The 36 registered athletes were the most in that span.
