A longstanding part of Shenandoah’s downtown will change as Aug. 3 will be the last day for George Jay Drug pharmacy.
“As most of you are aware, changes in the health care system have affected a great many businesses, including pharmacies,” according to a statement provided by Mark Vogt. “That, along with other factors, that has made a significant impact on our business. In lieu of these circumstances, our last day of business will be Aug. 3.”
At customer’s request, pharmacy staff will transfer all prescription and patient records to Hy-Vee pharmacy in Shenandoah. Hy-Vee can be reached by calling 246-3440. George Jay Drug does not expect any interruptions of service or lost refills on prescriptions.
