ESSEX – The Essex basketball teams will be hosting their annual Pink Out games, Tuesday, Jan. 29.

The Trojans and Trojanettes will host East Mills that night with both Essex teams wearing pink jerseys.

Essex girls basketball coach Jay Soderberg says the goal this year is to raise $2,000 for Breast Cancer Research.

“We will be raffling off basketballs signed by the teams,” said Soderberg, “selling raffle tickets and shooting free throws for prizes.”

There will also be a bean bag toss and a 50-50 raffle. Soderberg is also personally donating $5 for each made 3-pointer by all teams for both games.

Anyone wishing to donate that isn’t able to attend that evening can give a check to June McClintock or bring it by the school.

The girls game starts at 6:00 that night with the boys to follow at around 7:30.
