Page County Attorney, Carl M. Sonksen, reports the following activities in the Iowa District Court for Page County for the week of November 19, 2018. The Honorable Richard H. Davidson, District Court Judge of the Fourth Judicial District presided. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Alan Eugene Brown, age 60, Clarinda, Iowa, appeared with his attorney and pled guilty to Simple Assault. The Defendant was sentenced to ten days in the Page County Jail and given credit for time served. Defendant was ordered to pay court costs, application surcharges and shall pay court appointed attorney fees.

Hunter Paige Castillo, age 20, Clarinda, Iowa, appeared with her attorney and pled guilty to Simple Assault. The Defendant was ordered to pay a $65.00 fine, plus surcharge, court costs and shall pay court appointed attorney fees.

James Bruce Castillo, age 49, Clarinda, Iowa, appeared with his attorney and pled guilty to Public Intoxication. The Defendant is sentenced to one day in the Page County Jail, with credit for time served. The Defendant was ordered to pay a civil penalty, court costs, surcharges and court appointed attorney fees.

Melissa Anne Christie, age 29, Bedford, Iowa, appeared with her attorney and pled guilty to Operating a Motor Vehicle While Intoxicated, First Offense. The Defendant was sentenced to thirty days in jail with, all but two days suspended, shall complete the OWI program. The Defendant is placed on informal probation for a period of one year. The Defendant is ordered to pay a fine of $1,250.00, court costs, surcharges, fines and court appointed attorney fees.

Seth Martin Kuipers, age 40, New Market, Iowa, appeared with his attorney and admitted to violating the terms and conditions of his probation. The defendant was ordered to reside at the Residential Correctional Facility in Council Bluffs, Iowa, until maximum benefits have been achieved. The Defendant was ordered to pay restitution of court costs, surcharges and court-appointed attorney fees.

Justin Allen Williams, age 39, Clarinda, Iowa, appeared with his attorney and pled guilty to Possession of Marijuana. The Defendant was sentenced to two days in jail, with credit for time already served. The Defendant was fined $615 and ordered to pay court costs, surcharges and court-appointed attorney fees.
