Members of the Essex City Council met in regular session Dec. 12 and approved several requests and bids. Council members approved City Clerk Mary Ohnmacht to submit a MidAmerican Energy Trees Please! Application; approved the appointment of Ann Albert to the Essex Lied Library Board of Directors; denied a donation request from West Page Improvement Center in Shenandoah. And approved a liquor license renewal for Casey’s General Store No. 2699.

Members also acknowledged a letter from the Page Fremont County Relay for Life relating to using Anderson Park on Sunday, June 9, 2019, for it’s annual event; set wages for Essex Youth Sports coaches and employees for 2018-19 and approved a bid in the amount of $1,255 from the Essex Lied Public Library to repair of the fire alarm.
