Members of the Essex Community Club held its annual meeting Thursday, Nov. 15 with about 70 in attendance.

ECC Director Melissa Chambers said the position of ECC President remains vacant, while Heather Thornton serves as vice president and Candice Liljedahl as treasurer. Melanie Miller was then elected board secretary but in order to be an effective board, all positions need to be filled, said Chambers.

Nominations and volunteers are being accepted to be voted on at the next regular meeting.

Upcoming events include:

Santa’s Workshop from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 8 in Trojan Hall; a Christmas lighting contest at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 19; and an ECC brainstorming meeting at 7 p.m. Jan. 8 in the community room.
