The project “Small Changes, Big Difference!” is one of 15 finalists in Grinnell Mutual’s Fairground Facelift initiative. With votes from Facebook fans, Fremont County Fairgrounds could receive a grant of up to $3,000 to help bring this fairground improvement project to life.
“Small Changes, Big Difference!” will focus on little things — including updates to a bathroom, dressing room, and hand-washing station, as well as three new doors — which will add up to a big impact on the appearance and functionality of the fairgrounds.
“Few things are more important to one's comfort than a nice restroom, and our updated bathroom will be both attractive and functional once we've added the finishing touches. It will meet the needs of those who utilize wheelchairs and walkers, as well as young families who need a safe and sanitary place to change diapers. New doors will provide improved security, better insulation, and by choosing doors with windows, more natural light will be let in. The 'Small Changes, Big Difference' project will demonstrate how a little goes a long way!” said Mandy Maher, who submitted the project.
HOW YOU CAN HELP FREMONT COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS
