Highway 48 in between Essex and Shenandoah was closed for a few hours Tuesday afternoon due to a three-vehicle crash.

According to Jake Daly, chief deputy with the Page County Sheriff’s Department, a white 2000 Pontiac Montana van, driven by 24-year-old Meaghan Baker of Red Oak, was southbound on Highway 48 and attempted to pass a vehicle but failed to yield to oncoming traffic.
